Informed Consent & Disclaimer

The information and services provided through The Healing Guide® website (www.thehealinguide.com) are intended for educational, informational, and wellness-support purposes. This page outlines the Client Informed Consent and Website Disclaimer applicable to services provided through The Healing Guide®. By accessing this website, booking a session, selecting the consent checkbox during the booking process, or participating in services offered through The Healing Guide®, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms described below.

1. Practitioner Information

Services are provided by Himanshu Dua, a Counseling Psychologist and integrative wellness practitioner with academic training in Psychology, Yoga & Science of Living, and Vedic Studies. His professional certifications and training include complementary modalities such as Bach Flower Remedies, Sound Healing, Access Bars, and related holistic wellness practices. Where appropriate, the practitioner may integrate psychological counseling with complementary wellness techniques to support emotional well-being and personal development.

2. Nature of Services

The Healing Guide® provides psychological counseling and integrative emotional wellness services intended to support emotional awareness, stress management, mental clarity, and personal growth.

Sessions may integrate psychological counseling with complementary wellness practices such as:

  • Bach Flower Remedies

  • Meditation and Mindfulness practices

  • Breathwork (Pranayama)

  • Mantra and Mudra techniques

  • Sound-based relaxation practices

  • Emotional regulation and stress management techniques

These services are supportive and educational in nature. They do not constitute medical diagnosis, psychiatric treatment, prescription services, or emergency healthcare.

3. Counseling Process

Counseling is a collaborative process intended to help individuals explore emotions, thoughts, life challenges, and behavioral patterns. The purpose of counseling is to improve emotional awareness, develop coping strategies, and support personal growth.

By participating in counseling sessions, clients acknowledge and understand that:

  • Individual experiences and outcomes may vary.

  • No guarantees are made regarding specific results or improvements.

  • Counseling is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment.

  • If they are currently under medical or psychiatric care, they will continue such treatment independently and inform the practitioner where relevant.

  • They remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, and life choices arising from the counseling process.

4. Bach Flower Remedies

Bach Flower Remedies were developed by Dr. Edward Bach in the United Kingdom during the 1930s and are intended to support emotional balance and psychological well-being. These remedies contain the energetic imprint of the flower rather than the physical extract and are preserved in an alcoholic base as a preservative. Within counseling sessions, a personalized Bach Flower Remedy blend may be selected based on the client’s emotional state.

Clients understand that:

  • Bach Flower Remedies are complementary wellness tools.

  • They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions.

  • They are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment.

  • Remedy blends may contain alcohol used as a preservative.

  • Clients should inform the practitioner of any sensitivity, allergy, or restriction regarding alcohol.

By participating in sessions, clients acknowledge and consent to the use of Bach Flower Remedies where considered appropriate within the counseling process.

5. Vedic Wellness & Complementary Practices

Sessions may incorporate supportive practices derived from traditional yogic and Vedic wellness systems, including meditation, breathwork (pranayama), mantra, mudra, or sound-based relaxation practices. Participation in these practices is voluntary. Clients acknowledge that breathwork or meditative practices may sometimes produce temporary physical or emotional sensations. Clients are encouraged to practice within their comfort limits and discontinue if discomfort arises. Clients should inform the practitioner of any relevant medical conditions before participating in such practices.

8. Session Recording Policy

To protect confidentiality and maintain the integrity of the counseling process, sessions should not be recorded by the client without prior discussion and permission.
